Countrywatch.com was born during the dotcom bubble, then died, then linked up with Political Risk Services, then died again, and now seems to be going strong. The site basically delivers country background information comparable to that from sources like the CIA Factbook (see our "Guide" section) but with on more topics; plus some feeds from newswires. Similar info can be had free of charge, but for only a $100 subscription, having all that data grouped and sorted might well be worth it.
