Editorial Review of
Air Security International

[Category: Security Risk]

Air Security International, as the name suggests, started by providing security advice to corporate jet crews dispatched to dangerous places. ASI has since expanded to executive training, general travel advice, background checks, country risk reports -- the usual range for companies in this category. For some reason, ex-CIA types (or in this case, ex-Mossad?) have a weakness for "situation rooms" with banks of TV monitors staffed 24 hours by analysts. ASI is no exception. The company's country reports cover the usual territory -- terrorism, instability, crime, civil unrest -- but the pride is "up to the minute capability" -- displayed to great effect in the aftermath of September 11th.
