Political Risk Assessment
[Category: Political Risk/Country Risk]COUNTRYRISK.COM REVIEW
This is a companion volume to the Handbook of Country and Political Risk Analysis, though it stands alone. Actually, it's the better buy. Lew Howell edits an eclectic collection of essays on political risk, mostly by people trying to tout their services.
That said, it's interesting. There's a Control Risks flak trying to sell consulting services, political risk insurance types trying to show how their insurance cover actually manages risks, consultants showing off their knowledge of portfolio risk management, and so on. Plus bonus essays by some academics.
Reader Reviews
If I had to recommend one book for people interesting in political risk, this would be it. The fact that it's essays means that you get a wide perspective. Not all of the essays are good, that's for sure. But you do at least see a lot of different perspectives.
